How is data protected?

Access to data is handled through SSL-encrypted connections on secure servers. Additionally, the database is kept behind a firewall and passwords are stored via an industry standard encryption method. Access to such data is restricted to members of the NPO Synergy team, which include our staff and necessary subcontractors. All subcontractors are contractually bound to maintain our user's privacy pursuant to the terms and conditions of this privacy policy.

Who Owns Data Provided by Subscribers?

Subscribers own the data that they add to the database. We do not own your data.

Will We Email Subscribers and For What Purposes?

Subscribers will be emailed, as part of their subscription, with notifications concerning their organization, such as when a new user is added to their organization, when a new task is created, when a task is edited and when a newsletter has been sent.

Subscribers can edit their notification settings to decide which email notifications they receive. NPO Synergy may also send updates and information about promotional offers or upgrades from time to time. Subscribers will be able to unsubscribe from these emails if they choose; a link will be provided in each email. Note that we email subscribers as reasonably required regarding business issues, such as responding to a customer service complaint, or providing information about security issues, user conduct, terms and policy violations and other typical types of business communication needs.

Website Visitors

Like most website operators, we collect non-personal identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available such as the browser type, language preference, referring site and the date and time of each visitor request. Our purpose in collecting non-personal identifying information is to better understand how our visitors use our site and services.
